Andrew Yeoh aka Drewfunk is a pioneer of the Malaysia graffiti scene. He has 11 solo exhibitions to his name and has participated in multiple group shows between Australia and Malaysia.
Inspired by graffiti and street art from a young age, Drewfunk got his start on the streets of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. His subsequent move to Melbourne, Australia marked another era of growth and evolution in his artistic career as he dived into the local street art scene.
Drewfunk comfortably navigates and beautifully blends the tension of East and West in his work into his trademark “Oriental Funk” style. This vibrant and colourful expression continues to be a distillation of his various life experiences that he channels into his art.
Of late, Drewfunk has leaned heavily into his cultural heritage as a Chinese Malaysian by dipping into his rich roots and influences of Chinese culture. His style is an ongoing osmosis of experiences that is nourished by his eager appetite for life. He sees art as an ongoing dialogue between himself and the world, expressed in a style that is uniquely his.
